WWII

World War II was the wars. It was started when the Germans invaded Poland. The Germans used many weapons to go through the war. They had four main weapon categories. They used weapons in air, water, and on land.

Tanks

Nazis  in WWII used armored cars. They were the deadly weapons of the war.  These included Four-Wheelers and Tanks. The Four-Wheelers’ weapons included, “A MG 34 on the pedestal mount with a light front shield.” (German and Allied Secret Weapons of WWII 165). The Tank the Panzer MK VI Tiger was only 845cm long. It was 370cm wide. It had a crew of five men. It weighed 55,000 kg. Its armour included four in. in the front, three in. on the sides and back. Its weapons included one 88mm gun. That was its main weapon. Two seven92mm MG34 machine guns. Its range was 140km. it could travel at 38km/hr. this was a super heavy tank. I was small but strong. They used this monster in the desserts.

Aircrafts

The Heinkel He 162 was a fast plane. It could travel up to 170 mph. Nazis used this plane, because it was extremely cheap. It was created in late 1994. Hitler said, “This plane is the plane of the future,” (Classic WWII Weapons). Another plane was the Ge r ä 104. It had a 35cm recoilless gun mounted beneath a Dornier 217. Finally, they used the Henschel Hs 129. It had one weapon. The weapon was a 75mm anti-tank gun.

Guns

The German Nazis used weapons that were not moveable. They used machine guns and field guns. One of the machine guns was the MG34. It had a length of 122cm. It weighed 11.5kg. The fire rate was 900 rounds per minute. Nazis later stated. “The MG34 was secretly designed by us in Switzerland.” (Weapons of WWII)  Another machine gun was the MG42. It had a length of 122cm. The fire rate was 1,550 per minute. It weighed 11.5kg. Nazi soldiers used this gun more often, because the length and weight was the same, but the MG42 had a faster fire rate. Germans also used Field guns. Their main Field gun was the 88mm. It had a length of 500cm. The weight was 4985kg. It had a range of 14,815m. Allie forces said that this was the worst weapon to send their troops against.

Marine

The Germans marine was very powerful. They started out slow, with only 57 submarines, but only 20 were able to go in the water. The U-Boat 107 was 76.5m long. It had a beam of six point 76m. Also, it had 22 torpedoes, and a 105mm deck gun, with a range of 1,500nm. The U-Boat 107’s top speed was eighteen knots. It could hold a crew of 58 members. Researchers stated, “The Germans lost 785 submarines, two battle ships, five aircraft carriers, six escort aircraft carriers, ten cruisers, and 71 destroyers.”(Groiler Online) .The Germans gained 745 new ships, from Allied forces. They gained eight battle ships, 27 aircraft carries, 110 escort aircraft carriers, 48 cruisers, 349 destroyers, and 203 submarines. The Germans lost more marine vessels, than any other machine in WWII.
